ResultsAce ("ResultsAce", "we", "us") is a learning platform operated by ResultsAce Pte Ltd, Singapore. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. ResultsAce is parent-first: an adult creates the account and adds their child; children have no independent sign-up and access the platform only through a parent-created profile.
Who this is for
If you are a parent or guardian, you are agreeing to this policy on behalf of yourself and your child. If you are a student reading this: it explains what information the platform keeps about your learning, and you can ask your parent to contact us with any questions.
What we collect
- Parent account: email address, display name, and (optional) password.
- Child profile: display name, date of birth, a PIN (stored only as a secure
hash — never in plain text), and learning-game data (avatar level, XP, streak, badges).
- Learning activity: lessons opened and reading progress, questions
attempted and the answers you give (including free-text answers and diagram drawings), quiz and practice-paper attempts, and timestamps.
- AI grading data: the answers you submit for grading, the AI feedback
produced, and technical metadata (tokens used, latency).
- Voice recordings — only if you turn on Oral practice: when a child
practises the spoken components of a subject (for example PSLE Chinese oral), we record their voice, store the audio file, and produce a written transcript of what they said. This is off unless a parent switches it on. See "Voice recordings in Oral practice" below, which explains this in full.
- Feedback you send us: the message text, the page you were on, and — only if
you leave the screenshot option enabled — a screenshot of your current page (see "Screenshots in feedback" below).
- Technical data: IP address, browser user-agent, and a session cookie to
keep you signed in.
Why we collect it
To run the platform for you: deliver lessons, grade attempts, show parents their child's progress, keep accounts secure, and diagnose and fix problems. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with (third-party processors)
We use a small set of service providers to run ResultsAce. Each only receives what it needs:
- Supabase (database & file storage, Singapore region) — stores essentially
all of the data above.
- Vercel (hosting & logs, APAC region) — serves the site and keeps
operational logs.
- Bunny.net (lesson video hosting & delivery, EU-headquartered, global CDN) —
hosts our lesson videos and streams them to you. It receives your IP address and which video you requested. Video links are signed and short-lived, so a link cannot be shared or replayed later.
- Anthropic (AI grading, United States) — receives the question, its mark
scheme, relevant topic context, and your answer in order to grade it. Anthropic retains API inputs and outputs for up to 28 days by default (v1 does not enable zero-retention); it does not use them to train its models.
- Resend (transactional email, United States) — sends emails such as sign-in
links and receives the recipient address and email content.
- Upstash Redis (rate limiting, Singapore region) — stores short-lived
request counters keyed by IP.
Cross-border transfers
Supabase, Vercel, and Upstash are in the Asia-Pacific region; Anthropic and Resend are in the United States; Bunny.net is EU-headquartered and serves video from the CDN edge nearest you. By using ResultsAce you consent to your data being processed in these locations under each provider's safeguards.
Voice recordings stay in Singapore. When Oral practice is on, a child's recording and the passage being read go to iFlytek's Singapore endpoint for pronunciation scoring; they are not transferred out of the region. See "Voice recordings in Oral practice" below.
How long we keep it
- Account & learning data: for as long as the account is active. We delete it
on request (see "Your rights").
- Voice recordings and their transcripts: 5 years, then deleted
automatically — or immediately, whenever you delete them.
- Feedback screenshots: retained for up to 90 days, then deleted.
- Audit logs: retained for v1 to protect account security; we will revisit
retention limits as the platform matures.
Who can access your data
- You (parent or child) — your own data.
- A parent — their own child's data.
- ResultsAce administration and engineering (currently one person) — for support
and diagnostics, with access recorded in an audit log.
Children's privacy
ResultsAce is designed around parental consent. A child cannot register themselves; a parent creates the child's profile and controls it. Under Singapore's PDPA we treat parental consent as required for children, and we collect only what the learning experience needs.
A child's voice recording is more sensitive than the rest of their learning data. Consent for it is given by the parent, as part of accepting these terms at sign-up, and it is described in plain words at the point of ticking rather than only here. Only a parent can give it, and only a parent can withdraw it — at any time, from their dashboard, without affecting anything else on the platform. See "Voice recordings in Oral practice".
Cookies and tracking
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We use Vercel Speed Insights, which is first-party performance telemetry — there are no third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Voice recordings in Oral practice
Some subjects have a spoken exam component — PSLE Chinese, for example, is 25% oral. To let a child practise it, ResultsAce needs to record their voice. We treat those recordings as the most sensitive thing on the platform, and this section explains exactly how they are handled.
How consent works. You give it when you create your account. The single box you tick at sign-up covers the Terms, this policy, and Oral practice together, and it says in as many words that your child's voice may be recorded and scored. It is never pre-ticked, and you can read this section before you tick it — but it is one box, so agreeing to the Terms does mean agreeing to this. If you are not comfortable with the recording, turn Oral practice off from your dashboard; everything else keeps working.
You can withdraw it at any time, from the parent dashboard, without losing anything else on the platform. Withdrawing stops all recording immediately, does not require you to explain why, and you keep full use of every other part of ResultsAce. Accounts created before this policy was published start with Oral practice off, and stay off until a parent turns it on there.
No consent, no microphone. If Oral practice is off for your account, the recorder is not shown and no audio is captured.
What is recorded, and when. The microphone is active only while your child is answering a specific practice question, and only after they press record. There is no background or always-on listening. Each recording is one answer.
What we do with it. We store the audio file, produce a written transcript, and analyse the recording to score pronunciation, tones and fluency, and to score the content of the answer. The recording and transcript are shown back to you and your child so you can hear the attempt and read the feedback.
Who else sees it. Scoring spoken Mandarin accurately requires a specialist speech-assessment provider, because general-purpose services do not measure Chinese tones — and tone is about half of what a pronunciation mark is made of. We use iFlytek (科大讯飞), on its Singapore endpoint. It receives the recording and the passage being read; it does not receive your child's name, their school, or anything else from their profile. If you would rather it did not happen at all, leave Oral practice off — everything else on ResultsAce works without it.
How long we keep it. Recordings are kept for 5 years, then deleted automatically. A child may be with us from upper primary through secondary school, and hearing an early recording next to a recent one is the clearest evidence of progress there is — that comparison is the reason for the period, and it is why the period is long.
You do not have to wait for it. You can delete any single recording, or all of your child's recordings, at any time — deletion removes the audio and the transcript with it. Turning the opt-in off stops new recordings and lets you delete everything already stored.
What we never do. We do not use your child's voice to train or improve any speech or AI model, we do not use it to identify anyone, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the providers named in this policy.
Screenshots in feedback
When you use the feedback button, ResultsAce can capture a screenshot of your current page to help us understand and fix the issue you're reporting. The screenshot includes whatever is visible on your screen at that moment. The screenshot is optional — the feedback form has an "Include screenshot" toggle, and if you switch it off, no screenshot is sent. If your screen shows something you'd rather we not see, turn the toggle off and describe the issue in text instead.
Your rights
- Access: request a copy of your data — we will provide it within 30 days.
- Correction: edit your profile and your child's profile at any time.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your account and data (email us; self-service
deletion is planned). Voice recordings are an exception — those you can delete yourself, individually or all at once, without contacting us.
- Withdraw consent: turn off Oral practice at any time from the parent
dashboard. New recordings stop immediately, and you can delete the existing ones in the same place.
- Portability: request an export (planned).
